A unique luxury resort hotel and casino in the heart of the Las Vegas strip was looking for an automated solution to their manual scheduling process. The main goals of their search included the need to fulfil the following requirements:

- Ensure cross verticalย use by both the Banquets and Food & Beverages (F&B) departmentsย within the hotel and casino.
This luxury Las Vegas hotel and casino needed a dependable scheduling system to improve operations in different departments, like many other large hospitality organizations. Improved Efficiency
Celayix was able to achieve efficiencies in both the banquets and the F&B departments.
In the Banquets department, there was an overall 80% efficiency gain, decreasing scheduling time to two days.
The F&B department saw an overall efficiency gain of 30%. While this was lower than the Banquets Department, the efficiency gains for this department are significant. They reduced the scheduling time to just 3 days.
Self-Scheduling to Fill Open Shifts
In the hospitality industry, especially for events like banquets, many workers, including servers and waitstaff, are independent contractors. These contractors often work at multiple venues and receive incentives from high-paying, tip-based opportunities. The hotel used Celayixโs self-scheduling tool, enabling workers to easily pick up open shifts that match their skills.
For this client and many others, the ability to offer self-scheduling was a game-changer. Their co-stars (employees) could sign up for shifts as soon as they became available, ensuring that the positions filled quickly. In some cases, staff filled shifts in under two minutes, helping the hotel meet staffing requirements without manual intervention. This feature is essential when managing a high volume of workers with varying availability and qualifications.
Managing Contractor Qualifications and Compliance
Celayix helped companies like them ensure that their staff meet necessary qualifications before taking on specific roles. By leveraging Celayixโs qualification tracking system, they can now categorize workers into different groups, such as A-list, B-list, and C-list workers, based on their experience and certifications.
For example, only servers with specific banquet certifications or renewed licenses can sign up for certain high-value shifts. Celayix automatically alerts employees when their qualifications need renewal. This helps them stay compliant without managing it themselves.
